Cadwgan is a tradition family run Hotel situated in the beautiful unspoilt area of Dyffryn Ardudwy between Harlech and Barmouth. We are just off the Cambrian Branchline Railway and can be found on a quiet lane which leads directly to the beach. Cadwgan is the ideal for those wishing to relax and unwind or to explore the North West Wales coast and Snowdonia National Park whether it be on foot, by car, rail or on two wheels. There are lovely individual boutique shops in Barmouth and Harlech or plenty of attractions ranging from Portmeirion, beautiful gardens to explore or zip wires for the more adventurous!!

We offer a number of amenities at Cadwgan from a bike lock-up area, on-site parking, free wifi in the public bar and restaurant area that breakfast is served in, as well as a portering service to name but a few. There are too many activities locally to name them all from pony trekking to white water rafting, surf snowdonia to the slate caverns or for a more gentile time discover the Gardens within the area, take a leisurely walk down the lane to the beautiful Benar Beach or take a stroll to Shell Island from the beach.
No matter what time of year Cadwgan House Hotel is the perfect place to explore North Wales.

From Barmouth take the A496 towards Harlech, after approximately 5 miles you come to the village of Dyffryn Ardudwy, turn Left towards the railway station at Huws Gray builders merchants (brown sign for Cadwgan). Follow this over the railway line and we are on the right. Coming by train, we are 30 seconds from the station, there is a direct line to Birmingham International which runs regularly although this is a quiet branch line for Pwllheli to Aberystwyth following the coast.
